Police in Newcastle are appealing for information following a burglary in the Donard Place area of the town recently.

Constable Alan McVeigh explained: “Sometime between 11,30am on 16 October, and 6pm on 18 October, a Boardman BBL Hybrid Pro bicycle with a black carbon frame (similar to one in attached photo) was stolen from a property in the area. A silver helmet and black storage box with compartments were also stolen.

“I am investigating and would appeal to anyone who is offered a bike like this in suspicious circumstances, or anyone with any other information, to contact me at Newcastle police station on the non-emergency number 101.”
