The spooky celebrations will kick off early on Halloween night on Friday 31 October with enchanting arts, crafts and creepy creatures galore.
From 10am in the Newcastle Centre, there will be lantern workshops delivered by Free Arts World then from 4pm on the Newcastle Promenade you will have the chance to design and take home your own spooky kite or get to grips with creepy spiders, slimy snakes, scary scorpions and much more.

Cool FM DJ Gareth Stewart will be entertaining crowds with great music and competitions from the Festival Stage on Central Promenade from 5pm; building the atmosphere for the fabulous Float Parade as it make its way through the streets of Newcastle from 6.30pm.The most anticipated part of the evening, the spooktacular Fireworks display, will not disappoint as the night sky illuminates with a dazzling array of colours and noises with choreographed music.
The night does not end there as ‘Dracula-The Panto’ takes centre stage in the Newcastle Centre at 8.30pm. Booking necessary. Chairman of Newcastle Chamber of Commerce, Eric Ruddle encourages visitors to come and stay Newcastle for the action packed three days of events as the hospitality trade have fabulous offers on accommodation and food for the Halloween festivities.

In the current economic climate it is important we support the local community and try our best to implement events that everyone can enjoy whilst ensuring it does not cost too much.
