Bright GAC Notes For 10 August 2014

Bright men faced the Newry side at home on Friday night and started the game looking very promising writes Ciara Sharvin.

dn_screenNewry scored the first point but an early goal into the top left corner by Freddie O’Connor put the home team into an early lead. Bright were unfortunate and had a substanial number of wides and their only two other scores of the first half were in the form of frees shot by Conor Doyle. Mitchells answered back with a goal and a few points leaving them 2 up at half time. The second half saw Bright score two points. A number of changes were made to the team due to injuries but this was not enough to narrow the lead and Newry Mitchells came away with the win in the end.

Well done to the Under-12’s who had a great win against Ardglass on Wednesday night making them the winners of the league.xa0xa0Very well deserved after all your hardwork during the year.
