SouthDown MP Margaret Ritchie (SDLP) has welcomed the instruction to repair the potholes on the access road to Inch Abbey.

Ms Ritchie said: xa0“Many visitors travel to this site, and it is important that they can safely access the location. I had raised the need for repair to this access way, and am pleased that the Central Procurement Directorate has been asked to carry out remedial work as soon as possible.
“Also, the Northern Ireland Environment Agency has recently pruned back some of the overhanging branches near the entranceway to the site so as to improve access for small coaches.

“I hope that this work will result in a better visitor experience to the site.”
