The Seniors were in action on Monday night at home to Glasdrumman and travelled to Ballymartin on Friday night and came away from these games with maximum points after securing narrow 2 point wins in both games.
Against Glasdrumman, the Johnnies led 1-5 (0-2f) to 0-3 (0-1f) at the break with the goal coming through Conor Morgan.xa0 The visitors had the better of the second half outscoring St Johns by 0-9 (0-2f, 0-1 ’45) to 0-6 (0-2f) but St Johns held on for a 1-11 to 0-12 win.xa0 Special mention must go to Darren Morgan who pulled of a number of superb saves, and to Ray Addis who scored his annual point.

In Friday night’s game, Ballymartin led 0-5 to 0-4 at the break and they extended their lead to 4 points early in the second half but a Conor Flanagan goal started the comeback and the Johnnies won on a scoreline of Ballymartin 0-10 St Johns 1-9.

The Minors travelled to Newry to face Shamrocks but came away on the wrong end of a 5-13 to 2-5 scoreline.xa0 This Saturday they host Dromara at Pairc Naomh Eoin at 12 noon.
The Under 16’s are back in action on Sunday 8 June when they host Longstone at 4.00pm.
The Under 14’s game scheduled for last Monday at home to Ardglass has been rescheduled to Wednesday 4 June at 7.30pm.xa0 Before that they hosted Dromara on Monday night.xa0 Score details in next week’s notes.
The Under 12’s travelled to An Riocht to play in a 9-a-side competition and played Mullahoran (Cavan), Rossa (Belfast) and St Pauls (Down).xa0 They progressed to the Shield and were knocked out by a strong St Marys team that travelled from Dublin.
Theyxa0were in action again on Sunday at home where they defeatedxa0Kilclief.xa0 The Johnnies started strong with a couple of early goals set up by Ryan Morgan and finished by Aron Kelly and Amy Doran.xa0 From Sam, Daire and Niall in defence to Damian, Oran and Rory in the middle all the kids worked hard and played some great team football. xa0Eoin and Conor, the two youngest, were outstanding.xa0 Our captain and number onexa0Peter Walsh has proven that he is developing into a fine keeper and Christopher Cope is becoming the team’sxa0utility player.xa0 It is proving to be an enjoyable and successfulxa0season for all so keep up the good work.xa0xa0Training is on Wednesday as normal.
