Road Safety Campaign To Get A Boost With Social Media

The Police Service of Northern Ireland is committed to promoting road safety to everyone who uses the highways and byways from pedestrians and cyclists to motorists and everyone in-between!

dn_screenThroughout the next May Day Bank Holiday (26 xa0May) we are asking anyone who has an interest in keeping our roads safe (which should be everyone!) to help us promote important safety messages through our Social Media Takeover.

Promoting the initiativexa0Inspector Hazel Brady, C District Community Safety, said:xa0“Recognising that many people use social media platforms as a source of information, especially when they are on the go, we are using our Twitter and Facebook sites to encourage the sharing of road safety messages. And we need your help.

“If you are already a follower of the PSNI Facebook or Twitter accounts then all you need to do is like, share and retweet! For those of you who haven’t signed up, do it now! This is the final bank holiday push and we want to reach as many people as possible. Show your support for this campaign by visibly demonstrating your personal commitment to making our roads safer for everyone.”

Thexa0last Roadxa0Safety message for this campaign will appear on the PSNI’s main Facebook and Twitter accounts on 26 May.
