Sinn Féin local election candidate Eddie Hughes has written to Roads Service requesting they install road safety bollards at the junction of Craig’s Road and Carlisle Avenue, Ballynahinch.

Eddie Hughes said: xa0″In recent years safety bollards were installed at Carlisle Park and Carlisle Avenue junction and have been a great success, we now need to see similar measures installed on the adjacent Craig’s Rd junction.

“Cars continue to mount the footpath on a blind corner putting the lives of pedestrians at serious risk.

“I have written to Roads Service outlining the situation and would hope that they will respond positively to my request in the weeks ahead.”
