Police Apeeal After Newcastle Man Was Knocked Unconscious And Robbed

Detectives in Downpatrick are appealing for information following the report of a robbery in the Castlewellan Road area of Newcastle in the early hours of Friday 7 March.dn_screen

Between 12.30am and 12.45am, a man in his twenties was assaulted and knocked unconscious as he walked near the Burrendale Estate. A sum of money was reported to have been taken from the man who suffered cuts and bruising as a result of the incident.

Police would ask anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information which may be of assistance with their investigation to contact CID in Downpatrick on 0845 600 8000.
