The Patient and Client Council launched their new Downpatrick Complaints clinic today (Monday 17xa0February at 11am) at the St Patricks Centre.

At the Patient and Client Council meeting held in the St Patrick Centre in Downpatrick were Councillors Colin McGrath and Eamonn Mac Con Midhe, Farina Thompson, Down District CAB, Maeve Hully, PCC Chief Executive, Richard Dixon, PCC Complaints Services Manager, South Down MP Margaret Ritchie and Councillor Dermot Curran.[/caption]The clinic will be based in the xa0Down District Citizens Advice Bureau (Downpatrick) in Irish Street and will open every Wednesday between 10am and 4pm.
Maeve Hully, Chief Executive of the Patient and Client Council, said:xa0“We will help people to make a complaint about any aspect of Health and Social Care. People are looking to the PCC in increasing numbers for advice and support when they have a concern about a health and social care service that they have received.”
Richard Dixon Complaints Manager of the Patient and Client Council also commented:xa0“The Patient and Client Council is committed to making it easier for people to raise a concern or make a complaint about health and social care.xa0 One of the ways we are doing this is by opening local clinics. We want the people of Downpatrick to know we are here and are ready to listen to them.”
