Police Appeal After Two Serious Incidents In Downpatrick And Ballynahinch

Downpatrick.dn_screen It is unclear how the male came by his injury, however, it is believed it may have occurred at around 1.30 am on Saturday 25 January 2014. Anyone who was in the area during the early hours of the morning and who may have witnessed what happened is asked to contact Downpatrick CID.

Police are also appealing for information following an assault in Ballynahinch at the weekend.

At approximately 1.30 am on Sunday 26 January 2014 a 46-year old man was assaulted by another man at the junction of Loughside Drive and Windmill Lane. The victim sustained serious leg and facial injuries. Police are appealing for witnesses who would have been in this area of Ballynahinchxa0on Sundayxa0morning and witnessed anything suspicious.
