Ian Mack, Secretary of Saintfield Association, has welcomed the consultation on the proposed community centre in the town.

He said: “There is to be public consultation for the facilities to go into and around the new community centre.xa0 Now that the design consultants,xa0Consarc Design, have been appointed byxa0Down District Council, all systems are go!

“To meet the very tight deadline of having the contractors in place and the work starting by February 2015, we need to complete the public consultation exercise at very short notice,xa0by the end of January.

“Please come in to the former Mace shop on Main Street and have your say by filling in a questionnaire.
