‘TIPS’ For Visitors As Tourist Information Points Open

TWO new dedicated tourist information points have opened in Comber and Donaghadee.

Castle Espie, outside Comber, and Governor Rocks, a restaurant in Donaghadee, are both now home to special ‘Tourist Information Points (TIPS)’, which mean visitors to both towns have increased access to the range of guides to the area, from historical walking tours to activities, local attractions, where to stay and where to eat.xa0dn_screen

The two new ‘TIPs’ bring the total installed across the Strangford Lough area by Ards Borough and Down District Councils to 20, helping to encourage visitors to explore the area further, as Judith Hammond, Assistant Tourism Development Officer with Ards Borough Council, said:xa0“Having dedicated information points in an existing visitor attraction like Castle Espie and a popular local eatery, like Governor Rocks, means that visitors have much easier access to information not just about the place they are currently in, but about the whole of the Strangford Lough Destination xa0where the opportunities to explore and enjoy are endless. We’re delighted to broadening our service to visitors in partnership with the local tourism industry sector”.

Anyone who would like further information should contact Ards Visitor Information Centre on 028 9182 6846 or form more information on what to see and do in the area check outxa0visitstrangfordlough.co.ukxa0and ‘Like’ us on Facebook.
