EILEEN Byrne from Dundrum braved fate on a freezing cold evening last Saturday to have her head shaved to fundraise for the Millvale Animal Sanctuary near Castlewellan. The fundraiser took place in the Anchor Bar in Newcastle. Friends and supporters turned up to give Eileen all the encouragement to lose her mop of blue hair!
Emma Travers of CV Hair Design expertly performed the headshave with clippers and razor leaving Eileen resembling a boiled egg but delighted at the funsraising response on the night.
