One-Stop Shop For People With Disabilities

dn_screen Organised by Ards Borough Council and the local Ards Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP), the ‘Access All Areas’ event will bring together bodies like Disability Action, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Consumer Council and Community Transport, making it simpler for people with disabilities, their families and carers, to meet and talk to organisations which can offer help, advice and support. Welcoming the event, Mayor of Ards, Councillor Stephen McIlveen, said:xa0“People with disabilities can face challenges accessing information and services and we have a duty to make that process a little easier where we can. This event also gives the organisations involved an opportunity to listen to concerns, as well as be better placed to respond to the specific needs of people with disabilities”. The ‘Access All Areas’ event is free and takes place on Saturday 23 November from 11am to 2pm in the Town Hall Arts Centre, Conway Square, Newtownards.
