LOCAl Marie Curie Nurse Davey Loughlin is backing the charity’s Legacy Awareness campaign to ensure that Marie Curie Nurses like him can continue to provide free care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes.
Davey Loughlin is raising awareness of the importance of making a Will, to ensure people’s wishes are carried out, and remembering Marie Curie as part of that legacy. By leaving a gift in their Will to Marie Curie, people will be helping to ensure that more terminally ill people receive the care they need at the end of their lives and are able to spend their final days in their place of choice.
Marie Curie has also produced axa0videoxa0for the awareness campaign, dispelling some of the myths around leaving Gifts in Wills and telling the stories of people who have chosen to support the charity in this way.
Davey Loughlin, local Marie Curie Nurse, said: “Leaving a gift in your Will to Marie Curie makes it possible for Marie Curie Nurses like me to provide more free care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes.
“Gifts in Wills are vital to the charity and without them we simply wouldn’t be able to continue providing care for patients and emotional support for their loved ones. No matter how much you are able to leave, your gift will make a considerable difference.”
