School pupils from Castlwellan have enjoyed a visit to Stormont.

Laura Devlin, Constituency Manager for Seán Rogers MLA, xa0has welcomed P5 and P6 pupils to Parliament Buildings, Stormont.

Laura said: “On behalf of Seán Rogers, I was delighted to facilitate and welcome 90 children from St Malachy’s Primary School, Castlewellan, to Stormont last week.

The Education Department gave the pupils a presentation that was tailored specifically for their age group – this presentation went over the workings of the Assembly, the Executive and the Committees and even covered a typical day of an Assembly Member.xa0 The day was finished off with a tour of the building.

As a former pupil of St Malachy’s Primary School, I enjoyed greeting the students and hearing how much they enjoyed the whole visit.”
