United took the lead early in the first half when Simon Jackson scored however they found themselves behind by half time thanks to a flurry of goals from the home side.
Early in the second half United xa0were level thanks again to Simon Jackson.xa0United created a number of opportunities in the second half however anxiety was creeping into the game for both sides as the game looked as if it was going into extra time.xa0Thankfully thexa0Ballynahinchcontingent of supporters werexa0spared further anxiety when new signing Lee Maxwell on his debut scored in the 87thxa0minute to take United into the 2ndxa0Round of the Irish Cup.

Playing some neat football from the start the Swifts created several good scoring opportunities and took the lead when Stevenson slotted home after rounding the keeper.xa0Rossglassxa0equalised from the penalty spot to level the game before Alan Massey scored from the penalty spot to give the Swifts a half time lead.
In the second half xa0Rossglassxa0fought strongly to get back on even terms but the Swifts defence remained resolute whilexa0Bingham, Allison andxa0McCaffreyxa0all went close to increasing their lead.
