“It was a great success with large numbers of residents from across the district and tourists attending throughout the weekend. Organisers ensured the Arts festival was a success, by laying on a vibrant display of xa0music, poetry, drama, dance, comedy, street performance, art exhibitions, children’s events, xa0crafts workshops and guided tours.
“I would like to pay tribute to the organisers of the festival in not only having the festival to promote arts and culture but to bring tourists to the area . No one gets paid and volunteers work all year xa0arranging over 40 events, this is a fantastic effort.
“The motivation behind the festivalxa0is to brand this area as a cultural destination for locals and tourists and to feed into the social and economic life of this part of Down.”
