Sinn Féin councillor Willie Clarke xa0has called for the installation of signage to warn drivers ofxa0a dangerous junction at the Harbour are of Newcastle.

He said:xa0“I have major concerns in relation to the dangers of high speeds of cars entering Newcastle on the A2 Kilkeel Road.

“There is a real danger at the Southern junction of King Street.

“This is a dangerous junction where cars accessing the Kilkeel Road are doing so blindly. This is a danger to themselves and oncoming traffic. The installation of warning signage will help reduce the dangers at this location.”
