Police Appeal Over Ballynahinch Assaults

Police are applealing after two assault incidents in Ballynahinch.xa0At this stage we do not believe the two are linked.

Detectives are appealing for information after a serious assault in the Windmill Street area of Ballynahinch during the early hours of this morning, Saturday 29 June.dn_screen
It was reported that at approximatelyxa01:30amxa0a 36-year old man was assaulted in the street close to the bus stop. He was taken to hospital for treatment to a head wound. His condition is described as stable.Police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the assault or who was in the Windmill Street area around the time of the incident to contact them at Downpatrick CID on 0845 600 8000.
