Pride of place this week goes to the U-8’s who battled through eight matches to lift the Plate at the Clonduff Tournament. Well done to the squad of 28 boys and girls who travelled, Paul, Pete and Niall for looking after them and the large travelling band of supporters.

The U-10’s were narrowly beaten by Clonduff in the semi final of the An Riocht tournament. On the way to the semi final they beat Burren, Glassdrumman, Fingal, Castlewellan and Kilmacud Crokes in the quater final. Well done to all the players & thanks to the parents for their help & support today. Good performance too from thexa0U-12s who were also beaten in the semi-final of the Carryduff Tournament.

Mixed week for the U-14s as they recorded a comfortable win over Saul before falling to defeat away to Bredagh. Mixed bag too for the Juvenile Girls, with the 12’s winning and the 14s losing. U-16s and Minors also suffered defeats last week. Seniors moved back to winning ways with a much needed xa0win over Clonduff in poor conditionsxa0on Fridayxa0night.

Sponsor sheets are currently being handed out to all teams and we want to raise as much money as possible to help this very worthy cause whilst contributing to the running costs of the club. We want as many people to participate as possible, male, female, young and old. Let’s see if we can settle who is the best Free-taker in Downpatrick. Players from other clubs are also welcome, £20 minimum entry fee.
