Councillor Johnston said:xa0″For many years St John’s home in Pound Lane has been an asset to the local community for the elderly and those seeking respite care. It was badly damaged in an arson attack last year and has been an eye sore in the centre of the town ever since. “The site is now on the open market for sale and I hope the 9.5 acres will become more appealing to interested bidders with the demolition of the former St John’s home.”]]>
