[caption id="attachment_38149" align="alignleft" width="232"] Loma Wilson, the NIHE Area Manager for the South Down Area.[/caption] The South Down Area office will be based in 35-45 Boat Street, Newry, and it will be responsible not only for Newry but also for the former District Office in Downpatrick. The Downpatrick office will remain open to the public and will have Housing Officers and Maintenance Officers based there to ensure that service delivery to local areas is maintained. Area Managers have been appointed to manage the new structure and Loma Wilson will manage the South Down Area. Loma began her career in the Housing Executive in 1997, as a Housing Management Trainee after graduating from Queen’s University Belfast. For the first few years Loma worked in a number of areas of our business before specialising in estate management. Loma was Assistant District Manager in the Housing Executive’s Newry Office for six years before taking on the Manager post in Craigavon. Speaking about her new role, Loma said: “I am looking forward to the new responsibilities as Area Manager. I want to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive housing service to the South Down Area and to build on the close working relationships already established with tenants, the community network and elected representatives. I would assure tenants that I will do my best to ensure that they receive the same high level of service under the new arrangements.” Lorraine Campbell, South Regional Manager, added: “This is the latest in a number of improvements implemented under the Housing Executive’s Modernising Services programme. These changes will ensure efficient and effective housing services. Customers can rest assured that the high standard of service delivery they have come to expect from their local District Office will continue in the new South Down Area Office.”]]>
