Police in Newcastle are appealing for witnesses to an injury road traffic collision on the Clanmaghery Road near to the junction with the Ballydonnell Road, Ballykinler.
The collision occurred around 5pm on Sunday 20 Jan and involved a white VW Polo which ended on its roof in a field near to the above junction.xa0 The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital for treatment to a head injury that is not believed to be life threatening.
The injured man was assisted by a male and female who stopped a short time later and took him to hospital. Police would be keen to speak with the couple who were believed to be driving a black Renault convertible.xa0 They would also like to speak with the driver of a blue or dark blue Renault that was noted to be travelling towards Ballykinler at the time of the collision.
