YOUNG people from Drumaness Youth Council met with Santa on Thursday 22 November to continue planning their spectacular Christmas Craft Fair scheduled for Saturday 8 December 2012 in the Dan Rice Hall, Drumaness.
The event which has been developed in conjunction with Down Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) begins at 2pm and is free for all to attend.
Group spokesperson Martin McAllister said: “Young people in the village have been working very hard over the last number of weeks to organise this event. We are excited about the programme which is packed with activities for all ages and we hope the people of Drumaness and surrounding areas come out in force to support us and have some fun.
“Santa is here today to help us spread the word about the fair and to let people know that he will be raising money on the day to support a number of good causes including Cool FM’s Cash for Kids Appeal and the Hands for Alfie Appeal.”
Christmas stalls and crafts will be on display and people attending will also be able to take part in and some Christmas games and enter tickets for the tombola. Young people can come along to meet Santa who will be arriving to his grotto at 4pm and enjoy a free disco and facepainting as well as other festive activities.
The finale of the event is a cinema style showing of the film ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ in the Main Hall at 6.30pm when those attending can relax and enjoy this classic Christmas film with refreshments provided. Everyone is welcome!
Free food and drink will be available on the day and assistance with transport can be provided on request.
