Come along and enjoy a free screening of Jim Carey’s edition of ‘A Christmas Carol’ for residents across the district on Thursday 6 December at 7.30pm in The Saint Patrick Centre, Downpatrick.
Join Down District Council’s waste education team for some festive fun. Just bring along an empty glass bottle or jar to get your free seat. There will also be the opportunity to win prizes for Best Decorated Bottle (or jar).
This event is being run to highlight the importance of recycling your glass bottles and jars through one of the district Glass recycling banks. Recycling just one glass jar saves enough energy to power a light bulb in your home for one hour.
