Officers from Down NPT, accompanied by members of Down Policing and Community Safety Partnership spent the day knocking on doors and personally speaking to members of the community.

During the visit, officers made sure all residents had their contact details and telephone numbers so they could be contacted to discuss or help resolve any issues in the area.

Members of the recently formed Down Police and Community Safety Partnership also met residents and took time to discuss local concerns.

Down Area Commander, Chief Inspector Deirdre Bones, saidxa0″Meadowlands is one of our areas where we feel engagement with police is vital. My officers along with PCSP ensured that proper time was given to personally introduce themselves to residents so a new era of positive engagementxa0between police and the community could begin”.
