Extra Meetings to Consider Welfare Reform Bill

AS the Welfare Reform Bill creeps creeps closer to reality with major implications for many people in Northern Ireland on welfare, housing and disability benefits, intense discussions are going ahead to deal with this very complex issue many see as a potential tomb bomb.

The Committee for Social Development has confirmed extra meetings throughout October and November 2012 in addition to its regular Thursday meeting to hear stakeholder evidence and to carry out clause-by-clause scrutiny of the Welfare Reform Bill.
