Ardglass GAC Notes

The U-14’s had a deserved two point win over Drumaness at Ardtole last Monday. The result means they topped their group and progress to the championship semi-final writes Paul O’Shea.

The first half was a very good display of scoring and defending from Ardglass as they outscored Drumaness to take a seven-point lead into half time. The second half saw Drumaness mounting a strong come back with most of their scores goals, however Ardglass stood firm and saw out a two-point victory. There were good displays from Jordan Deegan, Corey Mahon and Christopher Curran in defence. xa0Jamie Cusack and Caolain O’Shea were dominant in midfield while Padraig Fitzsimmons and Jamie Clarke had a fine hour in the forward line. Details of the semi final not available at present.

This Saturday Ardtole will host the Dermot Beattie Memorial Under 14 Tournament with group games throwing in at 10.30am, BBQ and tuck will be available all day.

Group A; Ardglass, Aughlisnafin, Teconnaught, Kilclief, Loughinisland

Group B; Saul, Breadgh, Drumaness, Liatoim, St John’s

On Saturday 22ndxa0the Under 8s will travel to Patrick Sarsfield GAC Belfast for a blitz and the following week Ardtole will again host the Ardglass and Portaferry Post Office Under-8 tournament.
