DISRUPTION NOTICE FOR DOWN NEWS – UPGRADING

Since Down News set up two years ago, it has reached 500,000 page views in Facebook, has completed almost 5000 stories updating daily, and has around 4500 photographs in the Flickr viewer. Down News was successful in winning the Best use of Social Media category in the Down Business awards held last February in the Burrendale Hotel in Newcastle. I will upload some stories onto Down News Facebook over the next week or so so that everyone can read some local news and enjoy the photographs particularly of the Halloween celebrations. The improved website will be much more functional and with a few more modifications over the weeks to come will add to everyone’s enjoyment and Internet experience.
