Games Update ACFL Div 3 Ardglass 3-12 Glenn 3-8 Ardglass secured two points at home to Glenn on Saturday afternoon after staging a dramatic comeback. Ardglass found themselves 9 points down in the opening ten minutes after conceding three early goals, however they showed great determination to claw their way back into the game. Liam Mullan scored 2 goals, the first from a penalty and the second after an astonishing 80 yard solo through the Glenn defence writes Paul O’Shea. Owen Curran scored a third goal and a succession of points from Chris Deegan and Christian O‘Connor left Ardglass going into the half time break 3-7 to 3-2 in front. The second half saw an improved defensive display with the introduction of David Kearney and Philly Gill, both of whom had missed the majority of the season to injury and work commitments. Their return added extra strength and pace to the defence and nullified the Glenn danger men. Ardglass kept the scoreboard ticking over in the second half and edged their south Down rivals by four points. Next Game away to Tullylish on Friday under lights, Throw in 7.45pm. xa0All players to be at the Corner for 6pm. Year 9 team continue training on Thursday’s at 6.30pm in the Meadow, this week’s game away to St Joseph’s in Dundrum 12pm Sunday.

Juvenile Trip

* xa0The club has organised an end of season trip to Funtasia water park in Drogheda this Saturday 15th, this is open to all boys and girls aged 11-15, forms should be returned to Paul O’Shea before Thursday evening, bus leaves corner at 12.30pm
