Bill Johnston, Lurgan, weighed in 3 fish for 19lbs 11oz, which was made up of a 8lbs 6oz, 7lbs 4oz and a 4lbs 1oz trout, taking him into first place. Second went to Darren McFadden, Ballyclare with 3 fish for 14lbs 14oz, which included a nice trout of 6lbs 14oz.  All were caught using a team of Dwal Bacs. [caption id="attachment_30274" align="alignright" width="387" caption="Bill Johnston with his 8lbs 6oz rainbow trout."][/caption] Third place was close with only one ounce of difference with Noel Roberts, Portadown, just taking it with 3 fish for 12lbs 7oz, his best fish weighing in at 6lbs 13oz, leaving Rab Clements, Banbridge, for 4th with his 3 fish brace of 12lbs 6oz.  His best tipped the scales at 7lb caught on Buzzers on a floating line. Last years winner, Stuart McMurran from Dromore, took 5th place with 3 fish for 10lbs 2oz. The next competiton will be the start of this years winter league which kicks of on Saturday 29th October at 10am. The league will run until March with monthly prizes and a overall first prize of £400 cash, along with a total prize fund of £800. The fishery is now open every Wednesday evening until 10pm for fly and bait fishing.
