THE recent Captain’s, Lady Captain’s and President’s Days at Ardglass Golf Club raised almost £5000 for several local charities.
At the presentation of cheques in Ardglass on Thursday (29th September) are club captain Cormac MacMullan who presented £1,200 to Rosie Hassin from the Ulster Cancer Foundation’s Think Pink campaign and the same amount to Mid Down MS Support Group representatives Niall Magee, Josie Byrne (secretary) and Mary Killen.
Ardglass President William Shaw presented £941 each to the Chest, Heart and Stroke Association, represented by Dick Shannon from the Ardglass and District Health Support Group and Cancer Research UK Ballynahinch Group members Agnes McKissick (chairperson) and Eleanor Hughes (secretary).
Lady Captain Colette Wills presented £432 to Aileen Mulhall and Hugh Harrison from the Downe Hospital’s Community Respiratory Team.
