NIHE Tackles Killyleagh ASB Problem

Keith Warren"][/caption] This community safety project is designed to counter anti-social behaviour incidents in this vicinity that have caused considerable concern for residents in the past and will also give peace of mind for them in their homes.xa0The project has been delivered by the NI Housing Executive in consultation with residents and the Police and with the support of Councillor Billy Walker. Speaking about the project Housing Executive District Manager Aidan Brannigan said,xa0“I know that residents are delighted to see the gate in place. Agreement with all residents was vital to allow work to proceed and with that goes the responsibility for ensuring that the gate is kept locked, if the project is to be a success. Once again we see the end product of the good working relationships that exist amongst the public and community sectors, in this instance helping create a safer, more secure environment for these Well Lane residents. “This project is also in line with our Rural Homes and People policy, through which the Housing Executive is committed to revitalising rural communities and working with others to assist in rural development.” PSNI Sgt Nigel Donnelly added,xa0“I am delighted that this project has progressed and I wish to thank the Housing Executive for carrying out the work.
