Anglers will get a chance to tie their own fly under the expert instruction of Gerry and Lawrence and then try it out on the lake with Gary’s tips on the best way to fish it and advice on casting.  This is a day not to be missed and open to anglers, young and old of all levels. For more information contact the fishery on 07859 074424  or visit us on facebook.  The two lakes at Islandderry Fishery are both fishing well with alot of trout being caught on the top of the water with Daddy Long Legs.  Martin Walsh, Ballynahinch, was fishing this pattern to release a total of 16 trout on the Main Lake, his best weighing in at 8lbs 7oz.  Gareth Strain, Waringstown, was fishing a Damsel  Nymph to release 10+ trout with two lovely fish over 10lb.  As always Buzzers are working well on both lakes with Paul Travers and John Foster, Newcastle, releasing over 25 trout between them on the Hollow Springs Lake.]]>
