The ‘big’ game will follow at 12.00 noon… an event not to be missed! “The concept for the Ballymote Hall was started and developed by the local community.xa0 A further host of statutory agencies, including the Down District Council, were brought on board by the area and the project was further developed through the neighbourhood renewal strategy. Down basketball will be on its way to the former glory days of the 70’s. “The possibility of a surprise result is not out of the question as there are a few foreign nationals playing who have previously played at the top level in Poland and Lithuania. Basketball is a game with no perceived sectarian baggage. No matter where you go in the world you will always see a basketball hoop,” added Geraldine. ]]>
