Online Survey On Policing Issues

DOWN District residents have been urged to make their views known about Policing Issues in a new online survey.

The Down District Policing Partnership (DDPP) has launched an online survey as part of its role to consult the public about policing within the Down area.

The confidential survey is open throughout the summer months, and will give local people (over the age of 16) the chance to conveniently have their say on how policing is delivered in their community.

Each survey can be accessed by visiting www.districtpolicing.com/down and will only take a few minutes to complete. Responses will help form the basis of next year’s Local Policing Plan.

Speaking about the launch of the online survey, DPP Chairman Councillor William Dick said, “One of the most important functions of Down DPP is to consult with the community and we recognise that conducting this survey online will be more convenient for many people than attending a public meeting. We will use the opinions expressed in the survey to identify the priorities for local people and then work with the PSNI and other partners to help design potential solutions.”

Janine Hillen, Partnership Manager, explained, “I would urge all people to fill in this online survey and have their say about policing. The DPP is a local partnership which aims to help people identify what the issues are, in turn helping us to direct resources to the areas of most need.”
