Saintfield Hikers To Fundraise in NSPCC HACK

"][/caption] Describing the trio’s training regime, Joanne said, “The three of us had been going out hiking before we signed up for the event but due to somexa0good old Northern Ireland weather, work commitments and my sister’s wedding, we haven’t had the chance to get out recently.xa0 That said, we hope to get out a good few times before 17th September. “Wexa0decided to raise moneyxa0forxa0NSPCC Northern Irelandxa0becausexa0it’s such a worthy cause.xa0 Wexa0knowxa0the money we raise will be able to go towards making a difference in childrens’ lives in Northern Ireland – children who maybe haven’t had the best start in life or are struggling with issues that the NSPCC counsellors and therapeutic teams can help them to get through.xa0 All three of us have been enjoying the hikes we have been on so far, enjoying the craic and company, and thought why not do it but do it for a good cause and make it worthwhile for others? “I hope that lots of local people will sign up for the event, enjoy the HACKxa0and the craic and comradeship along the journey, and plenty of money will be raised and the NSPCC cause highlightedxa0to others.” Encouraging the people of Saintfield to get involved, Joanne added: “NSPCC helps give vulnerable children a voice – every child deserves to grow up in a secure environment with happiness and love.” Karen Walker, NSPCC community fundraising manager, said, “The HACK’s are a real physical challenge but so enjoyable. We are grateful to all participants for getting involved, and wish everyone the very best of luck with their training and as they tackle the day itself.
