McCallister Supports Falls Awareness Week

The consequences can be devastating, both physically and emotionally and John attended the launch of the week to hear first hand how there are ways of avoiding such high statistics. The Charity is encouraging older people to ‘Watch Your Step’ and to attend local activities which help reduce the risk of falling.” John stressed that there are however a number of things that can be done to help prevent falls; simply making sure you have regular eye tests and wearing the right prescription glasses can help with balance and make you feel more confident on your feet. During Falls Awareness Week, Age UK will be supporting events across the UK highlighting how important regular eye tests are as well as the benefits of staying active in later life.
