Games Update Ardglass 1-6 St John’s 0-5 The Seniors completed their first back to back wins of the season in a rain soaked game at Ardtole on Friday night, Edward Magee’s squad was stretched to the limits, with up to ten players missing for various reasons. However, the rest of the squad stepped up to the mark to produce a quality performance. The platform of which was the rock solid defence marshalled by Richie Fitzpatrick and Johnny O’Connor. Ardglass started swiftly as Neil Taggert palmed the ball to the net from the first attack of the evening and Ardglass scored further points from play and dead balls from John Polley and Taggert who extended Ardglass’ lead. St John’s did have a few chances to win the game but poor shooting and staunch defending limited the visitors to five points over the hour. Throughout the game, Jordan Finnegan showed great skill and work rate and was well supported by Conor Kearney and Caelan Fitzsimmons. Training continues on Wednesdays at 6.30pm in the Meadow> The next game is at home to The Fin on Sunday at 12pm. The Under 8’s travelled to Ballykinlar to take part in a mini-Blitz against the hosts and Darragh Cross, over the both game the boys showed an increase in performance and confidence. Cousins James Crangle and Ryan Cusack showed a great point scoring skills, while Conor Morrison, Abbey Byrne and Lorcan Toner excelled in their tackling ability. xa0Training continues on Saturday’s at 10.30 and the next match is at home to The Fin on Sunday at 12pm Cul Camp 2011 Cul Camp Application forms are available from Paul O’Shea (07938915183), the camp runs from 11-15th July and Parents are reminded to register early to ensure their child’s place is secured.
