Could you be a Mentor for the Beyond Programme? (Advertorial) The Beyond NI Programme which aims to support local businesses in the Down District Council area is currently calling for mentors to work with local companies to support their future development. The three year Beyond project is managed by Down District Council in conjunction with Down Business Centre and the South Eastern Regional College. Beyond is now inviting expressions of interest from suitably experienced business mentors and consultants to provide training/seminars in a range of business support areas. Clare Thompson, Beyond NI Business Outreach Officer said, “Since its launch in September 2010, the Beyond Programme has been successfully providing a very high standard of tailored support to existing businesses in the Down district area. “The Programme offers a range of business support and networking opportunities including workshops, business clinics and one-to-one mentoring to companies from all sectors of the business community. “As the programme has developed and demand has grown, we now wish to expand our range of mentors.” Down District Council has already successfully secured part-funding through the Department of Enterprise Trade and Investment, managed by the European Sustainable Competitiveness Programme for Northern Ireland 2007 – 2013, to implement this programme which commenced in March 2010.
