The programme is open to boys and girls aged 6-14 years, and with those new to the sport can look forward to one of the best introductions to football, seasoned football enthusiasts will have the opportunity to fine-tune their existing abilities and learn more advanced skills. The Soccer Funweek coaching team will tour the district during July and August, taking in the towns of Newcastle, Ballynahinch, Downpatrick, Castlewellan, Saintfield and Crossgar to deliver the programme from Monday to Friday, 10.00am to 1.00pm. The programme costs just £25 per child per week, and application forms are available from Wednesday 1st June at all of the Council’s leisure facilities, online at www.downdc.gov.uk , or contact Down District Council on 028 4461 0800 ext 2211/2201.
