Is your house beautiful and does it deserve to be on TV? If so BBC Northern Ireland wants to hear from you, as it launches a new search county by county for the third series of House of the Year. The judging panel will be looking for living spaces of every size and style across County Down. Size isn’t important, it’s about how you’ve used the space, inside and out, and whether or not it feels like a home. Laurence Llewelyn Bowen said, “Battle commences one more time and I really can’t wait. We’ve decided to heighten the sense of competition and make full use of the architectural energy in Northern Ireland by dividing the competition county-by-county. “I feel it really draws attention to just how much architectural excellence there is throughout Northern Ireland and BBC NI’s House of the Year could come from anywhere. “It’s one of my favourite programmes and it seems I’m not alone. Northern Ireland has very much taken this programme to its heart and series three will be the best yet.” Feargal O’Kane, series producer, added, “There are some amazing homes in Northern Ireland as we saw in series two. Once again this is a fantastic opportunity to show them off to other homeowners throughout Northern Ireland. It’s a rare chance to have a top designer like Laurence Llewelyn Bowen visit, along with our industry experts, and whether or not you win you’ll definitely get something out of the experience.” No matter how large or small, modern or traditional, from a mid terrace to a stately home, if you think your home has got what it takes to be House of the Year then why not fill out an application form?
