In recognition of the award, she will be entitled to wear a special insignia on her uniform throughout her year in office. The accompanying Citation describes her as ‘”a highly influential and skilled member of the Detachment who gives her times to the younger members of the Detachment assisting them in whatever way she can.” Grace’s impressive list of Cadet achievements include earning Four Star Cadet status, the bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award and the BTEC Diploma in Public Services. A keen shot, Grace has also successfully completed the Cadet Leaders’ Marksmanship Course in Canada and has been selected to return there this Summer to take part in a major shooting competition. She has also represented her Detachment, Company and Battalion in hockey, shooting and military skills. The Citation says, “Grace is a role model for her juniors, she leads by example and applies herself fully to any task assigned to her … she is an all round team player who puts maximum effort into all that she undertakes. Grace is an outstanding, totally dedicated and trustworthy Cadet.”]]>
