Burns Seeks Improvements To Dundrum Laneway

[/caption] Councillor Burns was responding to the issue after it had been raised recently by residents during a Sinn Féin canvas of the area. He said, “This is a very well used lane by parents taking children to and from school, people going to the local chippy and shops in the centre of the village. “At night, young people often gather at the laneway to drink alcohol and because of its seclusion, it is attracting anti social elements. “Most local people don’t use the lane at night because of the drinkers and there is also a problem associated with dog dirt and I would encourage people to clean-up after their pets. “Where the lane is bisected by Murlough View, there is a single light so additional street lighting would greatly improve matters. I will be contacting Roads Service on this issue in the hope of getting work carried out in the area.”]]>
