“In my own constituency of South Down, people are concerned that the issue is not given enough credence. It has the potential to devastate fishing industries and cause massive environmental damage if a security or safety breach occurred. “I reiterate the need for the Stormont Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister and others to take this issue as seriously as it deserves. Sellafield has called the latest contamination incident “low”.
