On her return home SERC Beauty Therapy lecturer Eunice Kerr welcomed Vicky back to the College to speak with current Beauty Therapy students. Eunice said, “I am extremely proud of what Vicky has achieved both academically and in her career to date. She always wanted to work on a cruise ship as a beauty therapist so it was a dream come true when she secured employment with Steiner. “A lot of our students aspire to work on cruise ships so I felt it was an excellent opportunity to invite Vicky in to speak with the girls. I would like to thank her for taking time out of her schedule and sharing her experiences with us, she is an inspiration and role model to all.” [caption id="attachment_18762" align="alignright" width="400" caption="South Eastern Regional College (SERC) Beauty Therapy lecturer Eunice Kerr is pictured with Ballynahinch beautician Victoria Dickson. I had so many amazing experiences and met some wonderful people. I started off on the MS Rotterdam Cruise Ship which took me to America; I then headed towards South America visiting countries like Peru, Panama, Costa Rica, Indonesia and the Philippines. A lot of the crew on-board would have been from these countries so they were ideal tour guides. “Working on the ship was great; I was dealing with such a diverse range of clients and met some really interesting people. There was a fantastic bond between the crew members and I have met some true friends from all over the world. I would highly recommend a career at Steiner to anyone.” Speaking about her future plans Vicky said, “I intend to enjoy my time at home catching up with family and friends but will be returning to sea soon. I hope to take in Australia and New Zealand during my next cruise and after that I would like to experience Europe.” If you too would like to find a key to unlock a door to future opportunities, South Eastern Regional College have a range of Part-time courses starting this month (January).
