Killyleagh & District Family History Society will be holding their branch meeting on Monday 5th October at our usual venue, Killyleagh Masonic Hall 50 High Street, Killyleagh, BT30 9QF.
Ken Tait, Secretary, said: “Our meeting starts at 7.30pm, and our guest speakers for this session will be “The History Detectives”, Lesley Simpson, Moira Concannon, and Leanna Russell, joint authors of the successful book “Balloo, Killinchy – A Hidden History”, which was first published in August 2025, selling out within six weeks.
“A Third print was recently produced and is also selling fast, this beautiful publication focussing on several of the houses and families in the Balloo and Killinchy areas, and much more.
“The authors have followed up with a series of talks and exhibitions featuring aspects of the book and additional information which has subsequently come to light, and their talk will update us with what has happened since publication.
“The usual refreshments and time for a chat with the speakers will take place after their talk.”
