Mourne MX rider success is a delight for all the members of the Mourne Motorcycle Club
Since taking up motocross Seaforde man Nathan Green has been on a steady rise to the top of the sport in Ireland and
in recent years Nathan has been one of the top riders in the Grade A Ulster Championship writes Stuart Campbell.
He narrowly missing out on the top honours last year. Along with this, Nathan has also been representing Ireland in the annual under-21 Coupe de l’Avenir event in Belgium.
This year the Mourne Motorcycle Club man has won his first top honours, lifting the 2026 Irish Motocross Championship and the Ulster Motocross Championship.
Speaking about Nathan’s continuing success Mourne Motorcycle Club Chairman, Billy McLarnin said: “Nathan is a valuable and popular member of our club and we couldn’t be more delighted for him.

“His family has been associated with the Mourne club for many years and in many ways we are like one big family.
“In recent years we have watched him grow as a man and as a motocross rider, along with that he brings a youthful perspective to the club.
“It has been a pleasure watching him win his first top motocross honours and it will be wonderful to see what lies ahead for him.
“It’s even more impressive when you know that he has completed the end of the racing season with a broken finger. That would cause quite the discomfort when you are racing around a motocross track, to put it quite mildly.
“Looking ahead, I know that Nathan has already spoken about racing in more British Motocross Championship rounds and perhaps even racing in the British round of the 2027 Motocross World Championship.
“He is too old now to race at the Coupe de l’Avenir and as the Grade A Ulster, and Irish Motocross Champion we as a club hope that this helps Nathan to be selected to represent Ireland at the Motocross de Nations in the future.
“It’s been brilliant to see Nathan’s well-earned success this year and we are all hoping to see this continue in the future,” Billy said.
