Mega Yacht SeaDream II Calls at Warrenpoint Harbour
Newry Mourne and Down District Council has welcomed the arrival of the luxury mega yacht SeaDream II to Warrenpoint Harbour, further strengthening the district’s reputation as a destination for high-end cruise tourism and maritime visitors.
The mega yacht, operated by SeaDream Yacht Club, brought guests from around the world to experience the unique landscapes, heritage and hospitality of the Mourne Gullion Strangford UNESCO Global Geopark.
Renowned for its boutique yachting experience, SeaDream II offers an intimate style of travel, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in local culture while enjoying personalised luxury on board.

The arrival of SeaDream II is another significant addition to Warrenpoint’s growing cruise programme, which continues to attract prestigious vessels and discerning travellers to Mourne Gullion Strangford.
Cruise calls provide valuable economic benefits to local businesses, tourism providers, attractions, restaurants and retailers, while showcasing the area’s exceptional visitor offering to an international audience.
To mark the vessel’s visit, a traditional plaque exchange ceremony took place on board between the ship’s Captain and Newry Mourne and Down District Council, Chairperson Councillor Glyn Hanna.
Talking at the ceremony, Chairperson Cllr Hanna said: “We are delighted to welcome SeaDream II and its passengers to Warrenpoint and to the Mourne Gullion Strangford UNESCO Global Geopark.
“Each cruise visit presents a valuable opportunity to showcase our world-class scenery, rich heritage, vibrant communities and outstanding hospitality.
“Visitors have the chance to experience everything from our breathtaking landscapes and historic sites to our local food, culture and tourism experiences. We look forward to continuing to grow our cruise tourism offering and welcoming more visitors to our district in the years ahead.”
